Hosted by Adam Knight in his flat in SE London, join Echo Chamber for one of our first intimate living room gigs of 2019.
This programme is called Secret Sounds, and at its heart is an arrangement of William Byrd’s epic, passionate 4-part mass (c. 1592). Written at a time of intense religious conflict, it probably would have been performed at clandestine, illegal services in the homes of Catholic families. Between sections of this piece we’ll play music that jumps between genres and continents.
Camberwell, London, SE5 (the full address will be released to registered guests 24 hours before the event).
Doors at 8pm, music from 8.30pm
